About the team:
At Zoom, we are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to be a member of the Security Operations team. This role will be instrumental in defining Zoom's approach for development and support of our security infrastructure.
What we are looking for:
A problem solver that is highly skilled in troubleshooting, has the ability to demonstrate and break down large, complex issues into manageable components.
Manage day-to-day operations service requests.
Management and review of systems configurations.
Understanding of container management and development
Address system vulnerabilities and remediation, including the assessment and deployment of vendor security updates.
Deploy and manage systems, security, and application systems.
Develop tools to automate operations or reporting tasks.
Drive continuous improvement of systems workflows and processes through automation and innovation.
Flexible schedule for on-call support rotation.
Comprehensive knowledge of multiple flavor of operating systems
Knowledge of cryptography and PKI
In-depth knowledge of End Point Protection and similar technologies
Experience:
2+ years of Linux systems engineering experience and other operating systems
Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible and Git
Experience in the support of security gateways or endpoint protection solution
Experience in design, implementation and operating of myriad systems security technologies in hybrid environments from on-premise to public cloud.
Strong knowledge of host-based security.
Experienced writing shell scripts and higher level language is a plus (Bash, Python, Go etc.).
Ability to monitor, debug and automate routine tasks
Kubernetes cluster monitoring, alerting and logging experience a plus
Experience with containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Operator Framework)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
