Zoom Video Communications, Inc.: Employer Action Plan Based on 
Japan’s Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace

This Action Plan of Zoom has adopted the following initiatives continuously with a focus on promoting the participation of female employees in Japan.


Plan Period: February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2028


Target 1: Maintain the female average new hire ratio rates in each job level: Managers (25%), Professionals (28%), and Support (25%)


Target 2: We will complete a minimum of 80% of our annual regular development chats, with an emphasis on achieving equitable representation in managerial positions

 


Details and Periods of Implementation: 


Initiative 1: Sustain representation in promotions
Implementation period: February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2028

  • - Conduct regular development chats with employees, offering a dedicated forum to explore career goals, navigate professional obstacles, and identify opportunities for growth and advancement
  • - Ensure that 100% of employees are provided with comprehensive access to both Hone and LinkedIn Learning platforms, enabling them to engage in self-directed, on-demand training tailored to their individual pace and professional development needs

 

Initiative 2: Increase diverse representation through inclusive hiring
Implementation period: February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2028

  • - Implement a diverse slate approach, globally, in order to create a more diverse and inclusive pool of individuals for selection or hiring
  • - Collaboration with external partners who are at the forefront of promoting inclusivity and attracting a diverse pool of  candidates
  • - Actively involving employee resource groups within Zoom to amplify diverse voices, directly contributing to a more representative recruitment and promotion process by ensuring varied perspectives are integrated at every level

 

Initiative 3: Create an environment that supports a work-life balance for employees regardless of gender
Implementation period: February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2028

  • - 22 weeks of Parental Leave for pregnant employees, which includes 6 weeks of statutory pre-natal leave;16 weeks of Parental Leave for the non-birthing parent.
  • - Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), through Workplace Options, offers employees and their families complimentary support with any work or personal issues, including short-term professional counseling. Our EAP connects members to local resources that help manage emotional, practical or physical needs.
  • - Carrot is a global fertility, hormonal health, and family-forming benefit provider that Zoom offers with the goal of enhancing accessibility and affordability of fertility care by offering various resources and support. Zoom provides ¥ 585,136 lifetime funds to our employees to cover eligible care and services.
  • - Northstar is a holistic financial platform that unifies personal finances and work benefits under one system to offer employees proactive and personal advice through many life situations.
