Zoom is looking for its first dedicated Strategic Workforce Planning Business Partner to help create a world-class practice from the ground up. About the Team
The Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) team is a newly established and high-impact competency at Zoom. As a critical, cross-functional group, with a mission to ensure Zoom has the right people, with the right skills, and at the right time to achieve its future business goals.
As the inaugural headcount for this function, you will be the primary architect of our SWP infrastructure. You will partner directly with leadership to move beyond reactive hiring and toward a proactive, data-driven workforce strategy. Your mission is to create the "source of truth" for headcount across the enterprise. This role reports directly to the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning.
Responsibilities
Standardization & Centralization: Designing and implementing a centralized global headcount management framework that bridges the gap between Talent Acquisition, HR, and Finance.
Governance & Methodology: Establishing enterprise-wide methodologies for headcount planning and approval governance, ensuring all workforce decisions align with financial forecasts and strategic priorities.
Strategic Modeling: Leading complex scenario planning and cost-rebalancing cycles to ensure Zoom’s workforce is resilient to market shifts.
Operational Efficiency: Optimizing workflows and improve data integrity to move the organization from manual tracking to automated, high-fidelity reporting.
Executive Influence: Translating complex workforce data into compelling narratives. You won’t just report numbers; you will provide the strategic insights that guide senior leadership’s decision-making.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in HR or Organizational Development, Finance, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, People Analytics, or Finance Strategy. least
3+ years of experience specifically focused on building a SWP function or team.
A Proven Builder: You have a track record of standing up or significantly transforming an SWP organization. You know how to lay the initial foundation while keeping the long-term vision in mind.
A Strategic Navigator: You understand that building a new function requires "managing up." You are comfortable questioning the status quo and aligning disparate stakeholders.
Technically Multi-Faceted: You likely possess a unique background that blends HR Strategy, Finance, and Computer Science. You understand the "why" of people strategy, the "how" of financial budgeting, and the "what" of data architecture.
An Executive Communicator: You are comfortable in front of C-suite leaders, capable of commanding a room and defending a data-driven strategy.
Analytical Rigor: Advanced skills in workforce modeling, financial forecasting, and data visualization.
Systems Thinking: Deep experience with HCM and FP&A tools (e.g., Workday, Adaptive) and a vision for how they should integrate to create a "source of truth."
Adaptability: A "start-up" mindset. You are energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to create something where nothing currently exists.
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$97,600.00Maximum:
$225,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
