What you can expect

Join Zoom AI Vertical team, and start from the Zoom enterprise-level product; and drive innovation, development in AI-integrated projects in wide areas. You will collaborate closely with teams from GenAI, Meeting, Phone, Big data, Data Engineering, and Cloud to build business features for Zoom products. The ideal candidate will majorly focus on AI capability improvement, agentic pipeline, applications, AI product feature innovation/creation, data process/analysis, and full cycle software development. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of Zoom AI products.

About the Team

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating AI capabilities, design and optimize prompts, develop agentic AI systems, and tune models to enhance performance and scalability.

• Ensuring reliability and high quality by participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging.

• Implementing AI solutions solves complex problems. Integrate AI services and algorithms.

• Discovering, evaluating and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve product quality.

• Driving task progress and provide solutions to address complex business challenges.

• Documenting test report, code, algorithms, and technical processes for internal and external references.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years (or equivalent experience) of hands-on skills in AI/ML engineering, software engineering.

• Advance degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields.

• Have coding skills in Python, Java, or C/C++, etc.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and scalable systems.

• Have solid experience with LLM tuning, prompt engineering

• Demonstrate experience with one or more of the following: AI agent, RAG, NLP, recommendation, cloud platform, data retrieve/analysis, DB/SQL, A/B test.

• Have comprehension of machine learning theories, algorithms, and frameworks.

• Possess familiarity with AI tools for daily development work.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
