Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical accounting team in identifying and researching the accounting treatment for complex accounting transactions, and draft technical accounting memorandums to document our position to conclude on accounting impacts. 

  • Analyze new and proposed accounting standards issued by the SEC and the FASB to determine the impact on our company and draft adoption memos on new accounting standards.

  • Oversee accounting for stock based compensation programs 

  • Worked closely with the corporate development team as the main accounting contact related to Zoom Ventures investment and M&A activities.

  • Be a trusted business partner and work closely with various stakeholders within Finance and across the company including legal, marketing, Investor relations, FP&A, accounting, and Tax.

  • Subject matter expert of accounting and financial reporting rules as well as a working knowledge of financial statements disclosure and reporting requirements. 

  • Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors

  • Create, implement and own comprehensive worldwide accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistency

  • Implement and manage accounting procedures to comply with internal control requirements

  • Continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period

  • Lead the team in month-end and year-end closing in complex equity areas, non-standard transactions, and reporting

  • Participate in other projects as required


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA or equivalent required

  • 8 years plus of relevant experience, and at least 6 years of public accounting is desired

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Proven experience to make well-reasoned and timely decisions

  • Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement

  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements

  • Ability to work overtime during busy periods (i.e. month, quarter, and year-end)

  • Oracle Financials cloud, Workiva and Equity Edge Online experience preferred

Zoom is aware of scams that involve fake Zoom job listings posted on third-party sites. Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees. Eventually a fake offer letter is sent in exchange for personal identification information as part of a fake new-hire screening process.
