Zoom’s Privacy Compliance Team is responsible for the management and development of Zoom's privacy compliance program, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international privacy regulations, and evaluating the privacy practices of our suppliers and partners.
As a Sr. Privacy Program Manager, you will report directly and provide support to the Associate General Counsel, Privacy in carrying out all of the day-to-day operational responsibilities for program implementation and maintenance related to Zoom's privacy programs. You are a self-starter, strategic thinker, extremely organized, great communicator, and enjoys collaborating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a globally distributed team. You could have the potential to manage other teammates depending upon prior experience.
Define and document program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, including defining the program roadmap and long-term strategy
Manage privacy team priorities, goals, timelines, as well as privacy team projects, assignments and initiatives, including annual privacy initiatives, privacy audits, and privacy certifications
Manage and maintain privacy team structure and responsibility matrix, including privacy escalations, as well as privacy team budgeting and staffing
Define and track key metrics and quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables
Manage cross functional dependencies, escalations, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly
Perform privacy team support activities to develop, implement and administer data privacy and compliance programs
Support, coordinate, and execute strategic privacy projects across company and Zoom products
Work closely with legal to define internal policies and guidance for privacy and data governance practices
Document and manage privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines
Track and manage regulatory requirements to comply with privacy laws, such as CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, etc. and registration obligations for new market entry
Develop and manage communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders
Manage relationships both internal and external to the privacy team, including privacy industry groups
Assist with enterprise privacy training and support documentation
Assist with vendor review program to ensure compliance with the company’s privacy policies
8+ years of privacy experience with a sound understanding of privacy laws & regulations and privacy/security compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, NIST, ISO)
Strong technical background, with experience leading privacy initiatives across compliance, product, and engineering teams
Significant experience implementing cookie compliance, PIA/DPIA, and DSAR response programs
Experience building and driving product and program roadmaps for security, privacy, or compliance
Practical experience driving change across compliance and privacy within a technology firm
Passion for technology and the drive to use tech to protect consumers
Must be detail-oriented, organized, ethical, responsible, & self-motivated
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
Hold one or more privacy/security certifications (e.g., CIPT, CIPP, CDPSE, CISSP, CIPM)

Fraudulent Employment Offers
Zoom is aware of scams that involve fake Zoom job listings posted on third-party sites. Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees. Eventually a fake offer letter is sent in exchange for personal identification information as part of a fake new-hire screening process.
Please be advised that these offers, communications and impersonations are illegitimate and fraudulent. All communication with Zoom employees come from a “@zoom.us” email address. Zoom job applicants complete an interview process including in-person (on Zoom) meetings and phone calls. Our process also requires you to create an account with our applicant tracking system, Workday.
Zoom will never ask for your personally identifying information during the interview process or ask you to pay money or purchase equipment. If you have received a message from Zoom that appears suspicious, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
