About the Team

The Senior IT Network Manager reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure and Employee Services. The manager leads a global and expanding team of network administrators to plan, design, build, and continuously improve an always-on, secure, and efficient IT network service. This is a pivotal IT role because the network service is a critical foundation to enable our internal business operations and to support employee productivity. Moreover, as Zoom continues to grow and introduces new products, the demand on our IT network is also increasing substantially in terms of speed, agility, and resiliency. If you are a seasoned team leader with a  deep hands-on network technical expertise and passionate in applying IT network technologies to drive business results, then this role is for you!

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Manage a global IT network team to provide an always-on, secure, and efficient network services to our employees worldwide

  • Drive engagement with other stakeholders such as the Security and the Workplace teams to scale and to improve our IT network service

  • Lead teams to solve all network problems

  • Mentor team to design solutions leveraging industry best practices and enforce quality of solution from design state

  • Manage reduction of technical debt within current platforms

  • Manage IT network vendors. Purchase and manage IT network hardware and software

  • Create policies, standard operating procedures, and use quantitative and qualitative analysis to continuously improve these policies and procedures

  • Define and create monthly KPI

  • Ensure policies, procedures, and operations comply with security standards that we are committed to achieve

  • Participate in 3rd party and client IT audits

  • Improve productivity, cost efficiency, asset utilization, and streamline processes

  • Manage IT network projects from plan to completion

  • Manage IT staff by recruiting and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance

  • Manage overall architecture of platform landscape and Service level agreement

  • Process management: document and continuous improvement, business impacts, user experience, change management, etc.

  • Flexible with and accepting of change

  • Deep knowledge of IT network technology, insights and market trends of the technology

  • Keep up-to-date on security risks and vulnerabilities of responsible IT tools and options to mitigate

  • Keep up-to-date on IT technologies and trends. Propose new solutions that can benefit us

About You

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS or equivalent work experience

  • 10 years or more experience in IT or similar technology field. 5 years or more in managing a global IT network team in companies with 5k+ employees

  • Extensive experience and proven track record in build, scale, support, and improve enterprise network systems and services

  • IT leader to manage and develop a global network team

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and results driven. Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment

  • Demonstrates integrity, good judgment, and ability to act as a trusted advisor with the most senior levels in an organization with the ability to represent the organization

  • Highly positive and collaborative individual that excels at developing partnership, building consensus, and fostering trust and collaboration at all levels of organization

  • Guide team on complex projects and deliver results with aggressive timelines

  • Excellent communicator at all levels of the organization with business context

Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees. Eventually a fake offer letter is sent in exchange for personal identification information as part of a fake new-hire screening process.
