Full Time / US Remote
This is one of the most exciting and critical roles at Zoom that reports directly to the Head of the TSSE (Trust & Safety Security Engineering), you get to lead the way of reducing abuse and increasing the safety of our platform! We are hiring Remote Software Development Engineering members who could lead the core development of dynamically identifying, classifying, and acting on abuse within our zoom product. Our mission is to build highly-available and performant backend APIs and data processing pipelines, capable of capturing information from many places where potential Zoom product abuse, payment fraud, etc. can be detected. Our trust and safety scope covers multiple dimensions, including container/VM/hardware and mobile devices and public cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
Hands-on software development for applications and consoles used by Trust and Security - these backend applications will perform at scale, be supportable, and be extensible
Deep analytical skills and the ability to understand both the technical and relationship aspects of “getting things done” at a modern software company
Develop applications that will signal Computation, Anti-abuse, Payment Fraud, Account Takeovers, Case Moderation, Rules Engines, and Real-time stream
Hands-on development on Event Driven Architecture utilizing Microservices
Functional experience in eCommerece and Online Processes
Experience with APIs, WebServices (REST or RPC or SOAP-based), Webhooks and reusable components specifically
Guide architecture design and solve complex technical challenges as a hands-on leader
Using your expertise in Java/Python/C# skills, working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain Zoom applications built on Spring Framework and microservices technologies to support hundreds of millions of customers
Develop highly performant large-scale distributed applications
Assisting in the collection and communication of the product team and customers’ requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable
Develop OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) use-cases to reinforce production and back-office system
BS degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline (CS, Eng, etc.)
8+ years of relevant professional experience
Hands-on software development experience in Java/Python/C#/C++/equivalent
Have successfully built, deployed, and supported an enterprise-scale backend system in the cloud
Experience in building reliable, scalable , high traffic, high concurrency systems
Experience with AWS services; like Kubernetes, AWS Lamba, DynamoDB, In-memory DBs, etc.
Experience in measuring the performance of the system by adding required metrics and tracing the API’s
Experience in modern database (SQL and NoSQL)/storage technologies
Understands complex workflows and develops and validates innovative solutions to solve difficult problems
Experience with multi-threaded programming.
Experience in building globally distributed systems using Kafka, Big Data, HDFS, Hadoop, Spark/Flink Streaming, data warehouse, or similar systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Plus to have some experience in compliance or T&S app/features development, and processing, have some sense of T&S related issue processing cycle

Fraudulent Employment Offers
Zoom is aware of scams that involve fake Zoom job listings posted on third-party sites. Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees. Eventually a fake offer letter is sent in exchange for personal identification information as part of a fake new-hire screening process.
Please be advised that these offers, communications and impersonations are illegitimate and fraudulent. All communication with Zoom employees come from an “@zoom.us” email address. Zoom job applicants complete an interview process including in-person (on Zoom) meetings and phone calls.
