The Head of Engineering, Online and eCommerce will lead a global and expanding technology team of Solutions Architects, Business Systems Analysts, Engineers and Project Managers with a focus on growing the Online business through global expansion and new payment methods and through the reduction of churn through retention efforts. 

We are seeking a business-savvy technology leader who wants to be part of a modern, progressive and ambitious Online team and part of Zoom’s larger commitment to providing happiness to both internal and external customers. 

This is a highly visible and critical role, reporting to the GM of Technology for Online, with high customer and business impact, offering the chance to be innovative, to build and lead a world-class engineering team, and to participate and influence strategic roadmaps and the future of Online business. 

This role provides a leadership opportunity for developing and leading a high performing team responsible for growing and transforming our Online business. This person will work as a strategic partner to the Online GTM Organization and will work closely with the Product Engineering, Product Management, and Data teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Partner with key executives within the company on strategy, business roadmaps and initiatives to drive and support business and financial objectives for the Online business unit. Collaborate with stakeholders in Online, Engineering, Product, CIO and Finance teams to prioritize and plan initiatives aligned with growth, churn, retention, payments and global expansion.

Create a vision and strategy for the Online Engineering team with strong emphasis on architecture, scalable solutions and fast paced execution. Drive flawless execution of projects through diligent planning and high caliber execution.

Provide technology leadership and management of high-impact initiatives leading business requirements, systems architecture, development testing and deployment with global teams in a mostly virtual model leveraging onsite and offshore resources. Ensure information and automation services are delivered with highest security and compliance standards.

Develop leaders across the team through coaching with a focus on technical and non-technical professional development. Mentor and develop a high performing team by setting regular goals and objectives and measuring performance against goals.

Qualifications:

Engineering / CS / MIS Degree (Bachelor's ; graduate degree a plus) and 15+ years of relevant industry experience.

10+ years of SaaS business applications experience including robust hands-on experience in with a general business and functional knowledge of eCommerce and Online processes

Experience in eCommerce, Billing, Payments, Subscriptions, Invoicing systems and other enterprise systems like CRM, ERP and Middleware software

Highly positive and collaborative individual that excels at developing working relationships, building consensus, and fostering trust and collaboration at all levels.

Entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven. Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Experience in presenting technology concepts to senior business executives, ability to communicate with passion, and ability to articulate with business context.

Demonstrates integrity, good judgment, and ability to act as a trusted advisor with the most senior levels in an organization with the ability to represent the organization.
