About the Team

The Head of Architecture, Online and eCommerce will lead a global and expanding team of Solutions Architects with a focus on transforming and architecting the Online business to enable growth, global expansion with new currencies and payment methods and through the reduction of churn through retention efforts.

We are seeking a business-savvy technology leader who wants to be part of a modern, progressive Online team and part of Zoom's larger commitment to providing happiness to our customers.

This is a highly visible and critical role, reporting to the Head of Engineering for Online, offering the chance to be innovative, to build a world-class architecture team, and to participate and influence strategic roadmaps and the future of Online business.

This role provides a leadership opportunity for developing and leading a high performing team responsible for the architecture and technology solutions supporting the Online business. You will work as a strategic partner to the Online GTM and Engineering Organization and will work with the Product Engineering, Product Management, and Data teams.

About the Role

• Partner with important executives within the company on strategy, business roadmaps and initiatives to drive and support business and financial objectives for the Online team. Collaborate with partners in Online, Engineering, Product, CIO and Finance teams to execute initiatives aligned with growth, churn, retention, payments and global expansion.

• Create a vision and strategy for the Online architecture team with strong emphasis on target state architecture, repeatable and scalable designs and solutions that are future proof. Drive design of projects and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure high caliber execution.

• Provide architecture leadership for high-impact initiatives leading systems architecture, high level design, development testing and deployment with global teams in a mostly virtual model leveraging onsite and offshore resources. Ensure information and automation services are delivered with highest security and compliance standards.

• Develop leaders across the team through coaching with a focus on technical and non-technical professional development. Mentor and develop a high performing team by setting regular goals and objectives and measuring performance against goals.

About You

• Engineering / CS / MIS Degree (Bachelor's ; graduate degree a plus) and 16+ years of relevant industry experience.

• 12+ years of SaaS business applications and architecture and integration experience including robust hands-on technical experience with a general business and knowledge of eCommerce and Online processes

• Experience in eCommerce, Billing, Payments, Subscriptions, Invoicing systems and other enterprise systems like CRM, ERP and Middleware software

• Ability to formulate and express abstract technology/ process concepts in a compelling value added proposition to support/advance business value

• Proven experience in driving legacy monolithic modernization to modern distributed architecture in a fast paced environment to achieve economies of scale

• Leadership experience in nurturing and molding the mindset of architects and technology leaders to infuse distributed architecture and design application during implementations

• Highly positive and collaborative individual who excels at developing working relationships, building consensus, and fostering trust and collaboration at all levels

• Entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven. Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.

• Demonstrates integrity, good judgment, and ability to act as a trusted advisor with key stakeholders in an organization. Experience working collaboratively with a wide range of functional departments and technology skill levels.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value.  Information about Zoom’s benefits is here.  Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.  We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
