You will be part of the Zoom Phone Backend team that maintains our backend infrastructure for our Cloud PBX and Contact Center Platforms. In addition, we monitor our application services and do log management for all backend services. You will do general team tasks, focus on the contact center platform, and support the Dev and QA teams launching this new product. 

You will work with our Development, Product, Security, and Operations teams to troubleshoot production issues and the infrastructure design. Daily tasks may include CICD pipeline development, release deployment, and providing design advice to development teams looking to add new features to the product.


  • You'll design and implement zero-downtime to accomplish a highly available service (99.999%)
  • You'll design and implement disaster recovery (DR) between different region Datacenters
  • You'll partner with vendors and the infrastructure engineering team for security and service availability
  • You'll troubleshoot production issues with DEV/QA teams, including performance and function issues
  • You'll troubleshoot and resolve service issues related to VoIP telephony platforms and applications
  • You'll provide troubleshooting for Phone systems and Zoom backend service
  • You'll provide the CI/CD model to deploy and configure the production system automatically


  • You have 1+ year(s) of hands-on work experience in production system
  • You have knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration
  • You have experience with Kubernetes, container, and other microservice technologies
  • You have experience with Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, and other monitoring tools
  • You have experience with Linux and are familiar with Linux shells
  • You have experience with basic network troubleshooting
  • You're familiar with VoIP call terminology and phone system lingo
  • You understand SIP, RTP, RTCP, and related
  • You have BS degree in a related field
  • You have experience with at least 5 of the following: Linux, Network, SIP, VOIP, SBC, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus ELK, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Zabbix, or AWS
  • You understand the principles of operations and limitations

Bonus Points

  • You have Linux/Network/AWS/K8S certifications
  • You have a MS degree in a related field
  • You're located in PST

Zoom is aware of scams that involve fake Zoom job listings posted on third-party sites. Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees.
