As part of the executive communications team, this role will be responsible for promoting the vision and mission of Zoom through the voice of the CTO and CPO (Chief Product Officer). Your responsibilities include creating and executing communications strategies, understanding the company business, technology, and mission, and developing new programs to communicate the Zoom message. You will create consistent and uniform internal messages to employees, develop external content and thought leadership across a variety of topics, and align closely with the communications organization to ensure message alignment.
This is a terrific role for an experienced executive communications leader and strong writer who enjoys partnering directly with senior executives to create a platform that advances the company’s priorities and maximizes the voice of our top executives. This role will report to the CEO & Executive Communications Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and executing internal and external communications strategies, including thought leadership initiatives
Conceptualize, write, and edit communications for the CTO and CPO including broad employee messages, all hands, byline/blog content, scripts, and keynote speeches for Zoomtopia and other high-profile external events
Drafting concise yet thorough briefing materials used to prepare for engagements
Plan and execute on the frequency and channels of communication while coordinating with stakeholders across the business/company
Partnering and collaborating closely with the PR, AR, social media, and internal communications teams
Elevating the exec voices on specific topics aligned with Zoom’s strategy, including innovation, sustainability, diversity, and digital equity through a mix of speaking engagements, published written pieces, internal communications, and social media
Partnering closely with the sales and partner teams on major partner and customer engagements that require communications support
Ability to act quickly and provide communications counsel and drafts for rapid response situations
Qualifications
10+ years of experience with B2B executive and internal communications
Experience building and executing executive communications programs, developing the content, and managing them to scale
Ability to gain trust and have a seat at the table with C-level executives
A gifted storyteller and writer who can embody the voice and perspective of others; experience in speech writing, creating executive content as well as messaging and talking points
Ability to maintain excellent business judgment in a fast-paced tech environment
A passion for driving company culture and our core value of Care, both within Zoom and via external communication opportunities
Confidence and skill to help guide senior executives to ensure priorities are reached
Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and multimedia skills
Strategic thinker with a strong grasp on global issues, current events, and business/technology trends
Extremely organized and results-focused with an ability to think, plan, and execute multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while calmly adapting to change as needed

Fraudulent Employment Offers
Zoom is aware of scams that involve fake Zoom job listings posted on third-party sites. Responding applicants are contacted primarily over email, InMail and/or chat applications by people impersonating Zoom employees. Eventually a fake offer letter is sent in exchange for personal identification information as part of a fake new-hire screening process.
Please be advised that these offers, communications and impersonations are illegitimate and fraudulent. All communication with Zoom employees come from a “@zoom.us” email address. Zoom job applicants complete an interview process including in-person (on Zoom) meetings and phone calls. Our process also requires you to create an account with our applicant tracking system, Workday.
