The Role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Sourcing, the Commodity Manager - Professional Services will be responsible for Zoom’s end-to-end procurement activities, including partnering with internal stakeholders on data analysis, research, strategy development and proposal analysis through implementation. The assigned commodities emphasize Professional Services activities such as Contingent Workforce, Consulting, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Managed Service Providers (MSP) as well as their associated services. Expertise in Professional Services along with a deep understanding of the global and regional vendor base and industry trends is required.
Responsibilities:
Develop strong stakeholder support and cooperation on assigned commodities.
Design, conduct and synthesize supplier, industry and market research for assigned commodities to develop a sourcing strategy
Lead full Request for Proposal & Bidding process including spend analysis, RFI, RFQ, quotes analysis, pricing, and contract & statement of work negotiations and execution.
Develop, manage and enforce compliance with Preferred Suppliers List (PSL) and strategically manage tail-spend to migrate to preferred suppliers wherever possible.
Segment supplier base and routinely schedule and review the suppliers’ KPI performance to ensure expectations are met and value is attained.
Process of data collection and analysis of spend data for assigned commodities.
Ensuring commodity spend is under management and contract compliance.
Develop a Sourcing strategy to support strategic commodity planning and savings.
Identify risks in the vendor portfolio for Outsourcing categories and develop strategies to mitigate the risks
Establish metrics and tools to monitor progress and supplier scorecards.
Implementing Worldwide/Regional/Country agreements to consolidate suppliers/spend.
Analyze historical spend, as well as forecast, spending to track savings by commodity/business.
Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues.
Identify and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities
Issue RFx for sourcing assigned commodities.
Review, analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers.
Negotiate, evaluate and issue PO’s for assigned commodities.
Work on “Lean” initiatives and identify other sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, VA/VE, competitive quotes and resourcing.
Support other Business Service Categories as needed
Requirements:
5+ years of industry experience sourcing Professional Services
Experience with consolidation of suppliers to create a Preferred Supplier List (PSL)
Possess deep knowledge of the Labor/Professional Services category and related services sourcing category
Excellent analytical and judgment skills. Advanced excel skills.
Master’s degree or higher, supply chain or engineering preferred.
Strategic Sourcing, Opportunity Analysis, and Contract Negotiations.
Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement.
Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve.
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details.
Fluency in English; APICS certification is a plus
Ability to travel as needed
