We are growing our BigData DevOps team in India. This team will cover BigData infrastructure, platform and ETL job production support. As a BigData DevOps engineer, you will work hand in hand with BigData team members across US and China on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Zoom’s next open platform project.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational tasks on BigData platform including troubleshooting and deployment tasks

• Production environment support to BigData team members

• Leverage what BigData team has built and contribute to grow the platform for the business needs

• On-call for BigData platform along with US team members to cover 24x7 production support

Requirements

• Automation skill to build CI/CD Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines

• Proven experience in building and managing large scale BigData infrastructure and platform

• Experienced in HDFS, Yarn, Kafka, Hive, Impala/Presto operations

• Experienced in Cloud solution for BigData primarily with AWS including EMR platform, EC2 and S3

• Strong skill set for infrastructure issue troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and providing solutions

• Comprehensive knowledge of security policy for operating in a customer-facing production environment

​Desired Skills:

• Programming skills with automation scripting capability like Ansible, Terraform, and Python

• In-depth knowledge in the Linux system for various applications on configurations, optimization towards high availability and effectiveness of services

• Experience with Data Policy and Government services like Ranger and AWS Lake Formation 

• Implement thorough monitoring and alerts following practical monitoring framework
